Aswan Governor Ismail Kamal announced the resumption of Nile navigation across the governorate after weather conditions stabilized, following a dust storm that affected the region earlier on Friday.
Monitoring the situation through the National Emergency and Public Safety Control Center, the governor confirmed that Nile traffic has returned to normal. Sami El-Barbary, Director of River Navigation in Upper Egypt, stated that as wind speeds decreased and visibility improved, maritime activity resumed across the governorate’s waterways.
According to a press statement issued by the Aswan Governorate, river traffic including tourist cruises, floating vessels, ferries, sailboats, and fishing boats on the Nile and Lake Nasser has resumed in accordance with safety regulations for navigation, maneuvering, and safe anchoring.
