Armenian President Congratulates Sisi on 1952 Revolution Anniv.

Armenian President, Armen Sarkissian, sent on July 23 a congratulatory letter to his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the country’s national day.

 

“I deeply believe that the centuries-old friendship between our peoples is the best base for developing the inter-state multi-sectoral cooperation”, reads the congratulatory letter.

 

Sarkissian wished El-Sisi health, happiness, peace and welfare to the people of Egypt.

 

Noteworthy, The revolution began on July 23, 1952, by the Free Officers Movement, a group of army officers led by Mohammed Naguib and Gamal Abdel Nasser. It was initially aimed at overthrowing King Farouk.
