AP Warns of Flag March Gravity, Repercussions in Jerusalem

The Arab Parliament (AP) warned of the seriousness and consequences of Jerusalem flag march organized by the Israeli occupying forces, to take place on Sunday, on the security and stability of the region, in blatant and provocative defiance of the Palestinian people and the Arab and Islamic nations.

The AP condemned what had been declared by extremist settler groups to break into the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, practicing Talmudic rituals and waving flags in the so-called unification day of Jerusalem, under Israeli decision and with the protection of the occupation army, stressing that it is an attack on Islamic holy places.

The AP reiterated that the demolition of houses in the occupied Jerusalem, displacement of people, the campaign of arrests, and incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque, are part of the continuous Israeli escalation which is contrary to norms and all international covenants.

The AP called upon the international community and international organizations to take the necessary action to stop these practices and provocations committed by the occupying forces and settlers to avoid their serious implications for the security and stability of the region.
