The Arab Parliament (AP) condemned the Israeli announcement of the the publication of tenders for the construction of more than 1,300 settlement units in the occupied West Bank and the plan to build more than 3,000 settlement units, in addition to the construction of more than 9,000 new settlement units on the land of Qalandia Airport north of occupied Jerusalem; which incarnates an unacceptable and condemned step that represents a flagrant challenge to the entire international community, and blatant violation of international law, relevant UN Security Council resolutions and all human rights standards, in an attempt to impose a policy of fait accompli and to strip the Palestinian people of their  rights.

The AP denounces the international silence on these crimes, and the absence of accountability or punishment of perpetrators for these acts that represent war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The AP stressed that the escalating pace of settlement construction or expansion, house demolitions, forced displacement and land seizure, are crimes that undermine pacification efforts, opportunities for a two-State solution and a comprehensive and just peace.

The AP calls on the United Nations and the international community for immediate and urgent action to stop these schemes, abandoning silence and addressing these racist crimes, and to activate mechanisms of international law and international humanitarian law, and to hold perpetrators accountable.
