The Council of Arab Information Ministers issued a statement condemning what it described as Iranian attacks, threats and provocations targeting several Arab countries.

The council said it had closely followed developments in the region and the coverage by Arab and international media. It expressed solidarity with the governments and peoples of countries affected, including United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The council praised Arab media outlets for what it called professional coverage reflecting Arab solidarity and the right of the affected states to defend themselves. It urged traditional and digital media to raise awareness about the developments and to clearly present what it described as unjustified Iranian aggression against peaceful Arab states.

The ministers also called on journalists to avoid conflating the broader military confrontation between Iran and its adversaries with what they described as direct attacks on Arab countries.

The council urged social media users to avoid spreading rumors and called for greater cooperation among Arab media to provide accurate information to regional and international audiences.
