Arab League Assistant Secretary-General Dr. Faed Mostafa met with Konstas Papadakis, Special Adviser to the Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO), to discuss cooperation on labor issues in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Dr. Mostafa highlighted daily violations against Palestinian workers and the denial of their rights, calling for Israel’s actions to be fully documented in ILO reports. He stressed that ILO fact-finding missions must be granted access to monitor working conditions directly.
He also proposed an international donor conference to support Palestinian workers affected by massive job losses and urged the development of a clear labor market recovery plan. Both parties agreed on the need to translate the ILO Director-General’s report on occupied Arab territories into actionable programs to improve workers’ conditions and ensure justice.
