The General Secretariat of the Arab League took part in the ministerial-level meeting of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee, the international donors’ group for Palestine, held this week in Brussels.
Acting on behalf of Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Arab League delegation was led by Ambassador Fai’d Mustafa, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Department. The delegation also included Ambassador Jawad Kazem Hindawi, head of the League’s mission in Brussels, and First Secretary Sharifa Choudar.
The meetings, hosted at the European Commission’s headquarters, brought together representatives from more than 60 countries and international institutions. Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Stephane Salameh participated, alongside several European foreign ministers.
Discussions focused on sustaining international support for Palestine and addressing urgent political and humanitarian challenges as regional tensions continue to escalate.
