Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League Hossam Zaki mourned the death of Alaa Rushdy, Egypt's Ambassador to Rome, who passed away early Friday.
On his Facebook page, Zaki said: “It saddens me very much to mourn the ambassador, friend Alaa Rushdy, who passed away at dawn today, a great shock to me and my colleagues from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
He continued, "The roads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs intersected with us twice when he succeeded me in Brazil and before that in the Arab League. My sincere condolences to his virtuous wife, Mrs. Alia, his children, his small family, and the entire foreign ministry."
