The 15th International Conference on Sustainable Development, organized by the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment, has officially commenced at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo under the patronage of the League.
The event brings together a wide range of Arab experts, officials, and institutions to discuss this year’s theme: “Sustainable Development and the Future of Generations.” The opening session featured keynote remarks by Raed Al-Jubouri, Minister Plenipotentiary and Director of Arab Organizations and Federations at the Arab League, and Ashraf Abdel-Aziz, the Union’s Secretary-General and Conference Chair.
Held in partnership with Al Zaytouna University of Libya, the five-day conference focuses on balancing the needs of current generations with the rights of future ones, in line with global efforts to advance the U.N. Agenda 2030. Sessions will explore sustainable cities, family-focused environmental media, digital safety, eco-innovation, and the role of technology and entrepreneurship in shaping a resilient, sustainable future.
