The General Secretariat of the Arab League is convening the 13th Meeting of Arab National Committees on International Humanitarian Law on Dec. 8–9 at the League’s headquarters in Cairo.
The event is organized by the Legal Affairs Sector and brings together representatives from national committees across member states to discuss developments in the application and promotion of international humanitarian law in the region.
Egypt’s Minister of Justice is attending the sessions, alongside legal experts and officials from regional and international organizations.
The meeting aims to enhance cooperation among Arab national committees, exchange best practices, and strengthen national mechanisms that support compliance with international humanitarian law amid ongoing regional challenges.
Participants will also review opportunities for capacity-building and joint initiatives to expand awareness of humanitarian law and reinforce its implementation across the Arab world.
