The League of Arab States and the European Union held the 10th meeting between Arab permanent representatives and EU Political and Security Committee ambassadors on November 4, 2025, in Brussels.
The session was co-chaired by UAE Ambassador Hamad Al-Zaabi, Permanent Representative to the Arab League, and Ambassador Delphine Pronk, Chair of the EU Political and Security Committee, with the participation of Ambassador Khaled Manzlawy, Assistant Secretary-General for International Political Affairs.
The meeting reaffirmed the growing momentum in Arab-European dialogue and the importance of sustained political and security consultation amid fast-changing regional and global developments.
Discussions focused on key shared priorities, notably the Palestinian issue, as well as developments in Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen. The talks also addressed Red Sea security, water security, migration, and the humanitarian impacts of the Ukraine crisis.
Both sides emphasized the need to strengthen joint efforts to address political, economic, and security challenges and expressed commitment to convening the sixth Arab-EU ministerial meeting and the second Arab-European summit soon.
