The Arab League strongly condemned the burning of the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque in the village of Tel in the occupied West Bank, calling it a dangerous escalation against religious sites.

In a statement, the Arab League’s Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Department said it holds the international community and the United Nations legally and morally responsible, urging them to take concrete steps to halt repeated attacks and ensure the protection of places of worship.

The department warned that targeting religious sanctities fuels hate and violence and undermines international efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability.

The Arab League also called for activating international mechanisms to protect civilians and holy sites, stressing the need for serious action to prevent the recurrence of such crimes, which threaten security and stability across the region.
