Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of Arab League, condemned in the strongest terms the massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces early this morning at a school sheltering displaced people in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, which resulted in the martyrdom of over 100 Palestinians and the injury of hundreds more.
Jamal Rushdi, the official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, conveyed Aboul Gheit's description of the massacre as "a cowardly act that stains the reputation of the Israeli occupation army."
He emphasized that killing displaced civilians during dawn prayers is a crime that surpasses even the notoriously low standards of the Israeli military in terms of cruelty and lack of conscience.
Moreover, Aboul Gheit stated that the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza serves as a license for Israel to continue its relentless killing and escape accountability. He called on the international community to exert real pressure on Israel to negotiate seriously, through mediators, for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza in exchange for a prisoner exchange deal.
