Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit stated that the continuation of conflicts will lead to the collapse of Sudanese state, calling for immediate ceasefire.
In a joint press conference with the UN envoy to Sudan, Ramathan Lamamra, he added that the meeting highlighted the importance of positively engaging with Sudanese state institutions, noting that without institutions, Sudan will disintegrate.
He explained that a technical team of mediators and initiative holders has been formed and will meet next month in Djibouti to exchange information about the various initiatives.
