Secretary-General of Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Elmedin Konaković, on Sunday morning as part of his official visit to Egypt.
Gamal Roshdy, official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, stated that the meeting addressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and developing fields of cooperation between the Arab League and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the talks, Aboul Gheit praised Bosnia's supportive positions on Arab causes, foremost among them the Palestinian issue.
The spokesperson added that the Bosnian Minister shared his perspective on the latest regional developments and the rapid changes occurring in the area.
Furthermore, Konaković provided a brief overview of the current situation in his country, touching upon the progress of political and economic reforms.
He also discussed Bosnia and Herzegovina's foreign policy, its advancement toward European Union membership, and the strengthening of cooperation with NATO.
