Apple's highly anticipated generative AI platform, Apple Intelligence, will officially debut next week, bundled with public releases of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1.
Though an exact launch date remains unconfirmed, insiders suggest it will roll out on Monday.
Previously accessible only through developer beta versions, Apple Intelligence includes tools like advanced writing aids, image enhancement, and improved Siri capabilities.
The upcoming 18.1 updates will extend these features, while future updates will introduce additions like Genmoji, Visual Intelligence, and ChatGPT integration.
However, the AI functionalities will be available only on select devices, including iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 models, newer iPads with the A17 Pro or M1 chips, and Macs equipped with M1 chips or later.
Upon updating, users will need to opt in and may be placed on a brief waitlist as Apple prepares its servers for off-device processing.
