Anti-vaccine protesters tried to storm the BBC’s studios in White City, on Monday, in protest against the UK’s Covid vaccination programme.

A video captured by local vlogger Paul Brown shows demonstrators from Official Voice trying to storm the BBC’s former HQ, getting into violent clashes with the police.

The crowd pushed back against a large number of officers in a skirmish on Monday afternoon. "They are protesting against vaccine passports and vaccine for kids," according to Brown.

Official Voice, a group which describes itself as “a collective forum of like-minded truth seekers”, has been organising a campaign against the life-saving Covid vaccination rollout online for several weeks.

Protesters chanted "save our children" while one man remonstrated with officers saying that his rights and freedoms had been "stripped away". The man claimed that the media was circulating ‘propaganda’ about coronavirus that was not a severe threat.

Moreover, another woman said that she had two children and did not want a ‘two tier’ society based on vaccination status. In addition, she called on the police officers to ‘join us’ and ‘stand with us’.

A live stream of the protest showed that many had moved on from Television Centre by mid-afternoon, though it was not clear if some had remained there. A BBC spokesperson said the BBC "doesn’t comment on security matters."
