Amr Diab contracted coronavirus last year

"El Hadaba" Amr Diab announced Wednesday evening at his latest concert that he had contracted the novel coronavirus in the summer of 2020.

The famed singer disclosed that he was infected with the deadly virus at the time he made the song "Ahe Ahe" with Greek singer Eirini Papadopoulou.

He continued: 'At that time, I was in Egypt and she was in Greece. The song was supposed to be made, but at that time I had coronavirus.'

Social media users circulated a video of Diab from the concert, in which he revealed that he had contracted the novel coronavirus. The singer also shared the video on his social media accounts.
