Amina Khalil Reveals Reason for Split from Ex-Fiancé

Egyptian actress Amina Khalil revealed the reason behind her split from ex-fiancé Omar Taha.

"I like to discuss women's issues and their rights continuously in my work because we always need this. In my personal relationships, I was rejected as a wife because of my career as an actress," she told Emirati YouTube host Anas Bukhash on his show "ABtalks".

She added: "I don't care about this. When I called off my engagement twice, I deliberately didn't see it as a failure but as an experience to learn from,".

In October, Khalil revealed that she is no longer engaged, without unveiling the reason behind the split.

The announcement came during Khalil’s appearance with Journalist and TV presenter Lamis Elhadidy on the “Kelma Akhira” program broadcast on the “On E” TV channel.

“God has decreed it and what he willed has happened. I am certain that God is planning something much better,” the actress added.

Khalil noted that there are some men who do not like the idea of marrying an actress.

“He must be a strong man to bear the life of an actress because it is different,” she continued.

Khalil also shared the characteristics of the man she desires, revealing: “We must be friends, this is a very important thing so that the relationship is healthy, strong, and real,".

"We must be friends before the relationship because friendship continues, but the glow of love can decrease,” she added.

The actress got engaged in July 2020 in a small private ceremony at her home.
