The new weapons packages include more than 2,300 MK84 bombs of various weights, according to Pentagon and State Department officials familiar with the matter.
These bombs have been linked to previous events that led to catastrophic casualties, throughout the Israeli military campaign in Gaza.
Washington provides annual military aid worth $3.8 billion to Israel, its long-time ally.
News of American military support for Israel comes in contrast to the recent dispute between the two governments.
