Amazon unveiled on Tuesday the design for the next portion of its headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, and one building stands out from the rest: a circular, tree-covered glass tower rising to a point above the rest of the city skyline.
Amazon calls the building "the spiral" because its spiral shape is supposed to take inspiration from the "natural beauty of the double helix".
On the inside, Helix will be populated with "a variety of alternative business environments" that Amazon employees can use. On the outside, there will be two sets of spiral paths dotted with native plants that you'll literally be able to hike.
The building will be 350 feet tall, according to the Wall Street Journal. Amazon says it plans to offer public tours on the weekends.
The Helix is still just a proposal, so Amazon will need to get local approval before construction on the building can start.
Amazon has also revealed plans for other parts of the Arlington campus. It also plans to construct three buildings of 22 floors.
The company plans to make room for retail stores, restaurants, and of course food trucks. According to the reports, there will also be parking for 950 bicycles.
