If you love cherries, you'll love this easy dessert recipe. This incredible loaf is so moist and delicious, topped with lots of flaky almonds.
Food blogger Alia Hassan Recommends Using fresh cherries when in season, but you can easily substitute canned cherries or any kind of local berry you prefer.

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 180C. I used a 30 cm loaf pan and sprayed the sides with oil.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, yogurt, buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla, and sugar.
Beat on medium speed for a few minutes until the eggs are well beaten.
In a separate bowl, combine all the dry ingredients.
Sift the dry ingredients into the batter, then beat on medium speed for about 1 more minute.
Cut the cherries into quarters, mix them with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, then add to the batter along with sliced almonds.
Don't forget to keep a handful of cherries and almonds to add to the top.
Transfer the batter to the loaf pan and add the remaining cherries and almonds on top.
Bake the cherry loaf in the oven for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Take it out of the pan and set it on a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve and enjoy.
