Algeria announced, Sunday, providing more quantities of fuel oil to Lebanon in order to operate electrical power plants and restore electricity supply in the country.
According to the Algerian government statement, Prime Minister Nazir Arbawi made a phone call with the Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati to inform him of the decision issued by the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to stand by Lebanon in these difficult circumstances, by supplying Lebanon, immediately, with quantities of "fuel" in order to operate electrical power plants and restore electricity supply in the country.
Yesterday, the Electricité du Liban announced that the last remaining production group on the electrical network was completely out of service, thus completely stopping the electrical supply to all Lebanon.
