An eleven-day break before the 2019 African Cup of Nations Alexandria Stadium, which hosts the first round Group B, is getting ready for the 2019 showpiece tournament.
Group B includes Nigeria, Guinea, Madagascar, and Burundi. The stadium will open its gates for the first game between the Super Eagles and the Swallows on June 22 at 19:00 pm (CLT).
The historic stadium, with official capacity of 20,000, was established in 1929. The hosts will play the opening match against Zimbabwe at Cairo Stadium on June 21 at 22:00 pm (CLT).
How to get the stadium:
It is located in the district of Moharam Bek, so the simplest way to get to the stadium is to take a taxi, you can catch any bus heading to Moharam Bek or you can take the tram.
On the other hand, if you are in Cairo, you will take a train from Ramses Station heading to Misr Railway Station in Alexandria or take a bus heading to Alexandria. It is close to the station.
