The Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced the imam and preacher of Eid al-Adha prayers in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
The Religious Presidency explained - according to a statement issued today, Saturday - that Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, Head of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, will lead the worshipers in the Eid al-Adha prayer and sermon in the Grand Mosque, while he will lead the worshipers in the Eid al-Adha prayer and sermon in the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Sulaiman Al-Muhanna, imam and preacher of the Prophet’s Mosque.
The Religious Presidency clarified that the time for Eid al-Adha prayers at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque will be a quarter of an hour after sunrise.
On the other hand, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced that it is ready with all its facilities to receive the guests of the Most Merciful God coming to perform the Hajj.
The Authority confirmed that all facilities and services are prepared at the highest level through advanced infrastructure that includes cooling and air conditioning systems and audio and visual systems. The number of headphones provided by the Authority is 4,183 headphones. The Authority also prepared 883 air conditioning units, while the number of ventilation fans is 4,079 and the number of spray fans is 244 fans.
In addition to the door systems of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, escalators and elevators, and the readiness of transportation vehicles in the Two Holy Mosques, setting dedicated paths for them, and preparing the roof of the Grand Mosque to activate electric vehicles for circumambulation and Masa’a with multiple options, and preparing bathrooms and ablutions and providing services for the elderly and people with disabilities.
The authority has prepared 224 escalators that transport worshipers and the elderly to all available floors, through competencies that have experience in directly dealing with the entry and exit of worshipers to ensure their safety, direct them to the spaces designated for performing prayers and rituals, and maintain the organization of walkways and corridors with the participation of the relevant authorities.
