On August 2,  the Saudi General Entertainment Authority chairman finished a purchase deal for the Spanish club UD Almeria.

The Spanish side posted a photo on their official Twitter page saying that Al-Sheikh has become their new owner without giving any further information.

The Ex-honorary President of Al-Ahly club sold Pyramids FC to Emirati investor Salem Al-Shamsi on Friday, June 5.

The Saudi General Entertainment Authority chairman bought the Egyptian side Assiouty Sport in June 2018, renaming it to Pyramids FC.

Pyramids finished third in the Egyptian Premier League with 70 points after delivering an impressive season under the ownership of Al- Sheikh. The club managed to beat the league’s winner Al-Ahly and the runner-up Zamalek during the last season.

He also invited the Egyptian National team on September, 27 to play against either Brazil or Argentina in Saudi Arabia.

“I would like to invite the Egyptian National team to play a friendly game against either Brazil or Argentine in Riyadh,” the current Spanish club Almeria owner said on his official Facebook page.

” If the EFA agrees to do so, we will invite all the Egyptians to attend the game,” Al-Sheikh added.
