Secretary-General of Arab League, Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, condemned terrorist attack carried out by Somali "al-Shabaab" movement against innocent Somali citizens in a hotel in the center of the capital, Mogadishu, on Saturday, which resulted in the killing and injury of dozens of Somalis.
Aboul-Gheit expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims of terrorism, praying to God Almighty to have mercy on them and to inspire their families with patience and solace.
Jamal Rushdi, the official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, stated that the Arab League strongly supports the comprehensive war led by the Somali state against terrorism and will spare no effort to help Somalia in its tireless efforts to rebuild its army and state institutions and enable it to address the root causes of terrorism.
