Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Islamic Resistant Movement (Hamas) announced today dawn that its units launched a big blow to Israel.
The Brigades assured that they launched 210 rockets at Tel Aviv, the capital city of Israel, Beersheba, and the international airport of Ben Gurion in Lod city near Jerusalem.
Al Qassam indicated that the rockets that rained the three main Israeli cities came to respond to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli warplanes hit a number of residential towers in the Palestinian enclave and razed them to the ground.
The Palestinian brigades revealed details of the attack as they fired 100 rockets at Beersheba at first then, they shelled Tel Aviv and the airport with 110 other rockets. The brigades sent a letter to the Israeli authorities saying: "If you return, we will."
Al-Qassam Brigades revealed that the missile strike that it launched at dawn today on Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport in which SH85 missiles were used for the first time in honor of the martyred commander Muhammad Abu Shammala, in addition to the A120, M75, J80, and J90 missiles, while the occupied Beer Sheba was targeted with missiles from the "Sejjil" family a local-made of the medium-range projectile.
The correspondent of Russia Today, a Russian news website, reported that sirens sounded in Tel Aviv, the Negev in the south of occupies Palestine, Beersheba, Josh Dan, the coast, and Hasharon.
And "Reuters", the news agency quoting eyewitnesses, indicated that explosions were heard in Tel Aviv.
The agency added the United Nations (UN) Security Council is going to hold a behind closed doors session to discuss confrontations between Israel and the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem.
Over a session held on May 10to discuss the confrontations in Jerusalem, the council failed to issue a joint declaration, as the United States considered it "inappropriate to send a public message at this stage."
Tunisia, Ireland, China, Estonia, France, Norway, Niger, Saint Vincent, the Grenadines, and Vietnam called for a special session to be held to discuss the tension in East Jerusalem.
