Egypt’s Central Bank revealed a suggestion to print the image of Bibliotheca Alexandrina on the new polymer bills of money.
Dr. Mustafa El- Feqi, manager of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, said that the library cherishes that suggestion of the Central Bank to print the image of the library on the face of the bill of ten Egyptian pounds.
He considered such a suggestion affirms the international place, its influence as an international radiant center and a place to keep the heritage and develop historic features of the homeland in various stages.
El-Feqi added that the library appreciates the Central Bank unprecedented decision because it proves the library’s continuous services to the international culture and issues of the Egyptian homeland that we belong to and work under its wing.
According to what was announced by the Central Bank the new plastic money bills resemble other crucifies made of polymer material prevalent in the world.
