Palestine division happened On this day in 1947.

Al-Azhar stressed: that the Palestine division is a painful memory in modern history and that it comes this year in very painful and cruel circumstances from which the Palestinian people have suffered and continue to suffer for more than 50 days from genocide and forced displacement, preventing food, medicine and water, cutting off electricity and the Internet, targeting civilians in hospitals, mosques, churches and places of shelter for the displaced, and killing more than six thousand children and more than five thousand women.

Al-Azhar called on everyone to support the Palestinian people in defending their cause, our cause, and the cause of the free world, calling for highlighting the brutality of the occupying Zionist entity, in violation of international laws, regulations, and conventions.

Al-Azhar stresses that it is time for all people of conscience and the free world to unite to end the worst and longest occupation in modern history and to harness efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians and to establish their independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
