Leading figures from Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, the British Embassy and the British Council inaugurated Al-Azhar English Language Center in Luxor, within the framework of joint cooperation to boost English language skills among students and teachers of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif in Upper Egypt.
The new Al-Azhar Center in Luxor is scheduled to provide high-quality English language courses for girls from Al-Azhar University in Thebes. Once it opens, it will receive 180 female students who have passed the internationally approved placement test for this academic year. This is coupled with an ambitious plan to expand the number of applicants in the coming years. The courses offered will enhance girls' access to the job market and prestigious educational programs. The course will be taught by Azhar Upper Egyptian teachers who have been trained and supported by the British Council.
