Head of Egypt’s Al-Ashraf Syndicate, Mahmoud El-Sherif, has called on the Egyptian people to stand united behind the country's leadership amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Speaking during the launch of the Ministry of Religious Endowments’ digital platform on Wednesday at the Cabinet Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, El-Sherif stressed the importance of supporting President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian Armed Forces in protecting national security.

He stated that the crises affecting the region demand solidarity from all Egyptians, and he praised the Egyptian government's proactive steps to shield the country from potential fallout. El-Sherif extended his thanks to Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Cabinet members for their efforts in addressing these challenges.

In a separate remark, El-Sherif hailed the launch of the Ministry’s digital platform, calling it a "significant intellectual initiative" and a modern tool for renewing religious discourse.

He noted that the platform would play a key role in the Ministry’s efforts to counter both religious extremism and secular radicalism, promote human development, and contribute to building a resilient and enlightened society.

El-Sherif concluded his remarks with a prayer for Egypt’s continued safety and security, and for peace to prevail both at home and around the world.
