The Egyptian National Press Authority (NPA) decided in its meeting on Sunday to convert the issuance of three state-owned printed newspapers to digital ones.
The publications of "Al-Ahram Al Massai" issued by Al-Ahram Foundation, "Al-Akhbar Al Masai" issued by Akhbar Al-Youm Foundation and "Al-Masaa" issued by Dar Al-Tahrir Institution for printing and publishing, have been converted into digital versions from printed issues, to become online media outlets for their readers.
The press authority added that the employees of digital versions shall retain all their jobs and their financial rights in terms of wages and other financial benefits, provided that this decision shall take effect as of July 15, 2021.
