The Africa Prosperity Network (APN) and Air Algérie have signed a Co-operation Framework Agreement in Addis Ababa, marking a new step in advancing the continent-wide Make Africa Borderless Now! initiative.
The agreement underscores the two parties’ shared commitment to promoting the free movement of people, goods, and services across Africa, with air connectivity identified as a key driver of regional integration and economic growth.
Under the partnership, APN and Air Algérie Group will work jointly to support initiatives that boost intra-African mobility and strengthen trade and cargo flows. The collaboration also aims to expand participation in the Africa Prosperity Dialogues and other continental platforms focused on economic cooperation.
Both sides emphasized that improved aviation links remain central to the successful implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which seeks to create a unified African market.
The framework agreement further establishes a platform for policy dialogue, capacity building, and advocacy efforts designed to reduce barriers to trade, travel, and cross-border economic activity across the continent.
The signing reflects growing momentum behind the Make Africa Borderless Now! movement and highlights the determination of African institutions to translate integration commitments into tangible, continent-wide results.
Supporters of the initiative have been encouraged to sign the Make Africa Borderless Now! petition to help accelerate progress toward a more connected and economically integrated Africa.
