Veteran actress and TV presenter, Esaad Younis hosted Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmy on her program “Sahebat Al-Saada” broadcasts on “DMC” satellite Channel.
During the interview, he talked about several artistic and personal topics including, his upcoming projects and his relationship with his wife Mona Zaki.
Helmy revealed that he is preparing for a new movie, as well as a new TV series, in which he plans to participate in the Ramadan 2021 drama marathon, which is still in the preparation phase.
He stated that the production is considered his first lead role in a drama. The actor noted that previously starred in Adel Sadiq's TV series “Nas Wlad Nas” starring Karam Mutawa.
Helmy noted that Sadiq discovered him. He chose him to star in the series after saying a joke in front of him only to be surprised after a while by a phone call from his daughter asking him to meet her father for a new project, which was TV series “Nas Wlad Nas”.

Helmy’s latest artistic work is the 2019 film, “Khayal Maata”.
It also stars Menna Shalaby, Khaled El Sawy, Bayoumi Fouad, Entsar, Samy Maghawry, Mahmoud El-Lisy, Yasser El Tobgy, Hassan Hosny, Lotfy Labib, Abdelrahman Abo Zahra, Rashwan Tawfek, and more.
The film is penned by Abdul Rahim Kamal and directed by Khaled Marei.
It is worth mentioning that Helmy, born on November 18, 1969, in Banha, Qalyubia Governorate, is an Egyptian comedian, actor, film producer, television presenter, author, and television personality.
He started his career in 1993 on the Egyptian Satellite Broadcast, and made his acting debut in the 1998 acclaimed film “Aboud Ala El Hodoud” (Aboud on the Borders), co-starring with Alaa Waley El Din, and Karim Abdel Aziz.
Thereafter, he quickly made a jump to leading roles in films such as “Omar 2000”, “El Nazer” (The Headmaster), “El Selem We Al Tho'ban” (Snakes And Ladders).

In 2001, Helmy made his stage debut in play ″Hakeem Eyon″ co-starring with Alaa Waley El Din, and Karim Abdel Aziz.
