Production began on Egyptian actor Ahmed Ezz's latest film "Ferqat Al Mawt" (Death Squad).
The cast also includes Menna Shalaby, Asser Yassin, Bayoumi Fouad, Essam Omar, Khaled Kamal, Roshdy El Shamy, Gihan El Shamashergy, and more.
The project marks the first collaboration between Ezz and Yassin as well as his fourth with Shalaby. They previously collaborated on films "Shabab Take Away" (2004), "Badal Faqed" (2009), and "Al Gareema" (2022).
"Ferqat Al Mawt" takes place in the forties and early fifties, when Upper Egypt's most infamous criminal Khot El-Saied lived.
It is scripted by Salah El Gehiny, directed by Ahmed Alaa El-Deeb, and produced by Sea Cinema Productions.
Ezz, born on July 23, 1971, made his first appearance in Assala's music video "Lama Gat Einak Fi Einy" in 1999.
In the same year, he appeared in Inas El-Degheidy's film "Kalam El Lail" (Night Whispers).
