Actress Nadia Al-Iraqia Passes Away due to Coronavirus

Comedian Egyptian-Iraqi actress, Nadia Al-Iraqia passed away on Sunday due to the coronavirus, her daughter, Mai Mahrous, announced on Facebook.

The late actress passed away following the deterioration of her health after contracting the deadly virus in April. She was transferred later on to the ICU.

Al-Iraqia was born on August 3, 1963, in Babylon, Iraq as Faten Fathy. The actress starred in about 146 artistic works.

She was known for her roles in "Keda Reda" (2007), "Haha and Tofaha" (2006), and "Abu Ali" (2005).

The actress was also known for her role in the 2010 hit-TV series "Ayza Atgawez" starring Hend Sabri.

She starred in her last role in the 2021 TV series "Ahsan Ab", starring Ali Rabee.

The actress is survived by her three children, a boy, and two girls.
