Mohamed Abou El Enein, member of the House of Representatives(HoR), praised the initiative launched by the Supreme Committee for Human Fraternity in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to pray for humanity on Thursday 14th May.

He stressed that Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayyib, and His Holiness, Pope Francis II, Pope of the Vatican and the Head of the Catholic Church in the world, will unite the peoples of the earth in prayers, love and supplication to lift the epidemic of COVID-19.

Abou El Enein penned an article entitled (Behind Al-Tayyib and the Pope of the Vatican .. The World Prays for Humanity) published by Al-Ahram newspaper. The article appeared on Friday morning.

He appreciated the noble stance of the Grand Imam, Sheikh Al-Azhar, and the Pope of the Vatican, as the two Muslim and Christian leaders are answering the call and welcoming the humanitarian initiative.

Abou El Enein stressed that this initiative encourages peoples around the world and instills more hope for the formation of the largest human gathering known in history to pray to Allah at the same time to lift the plague.

Aboul Enein said that the world received the noble call made by the Supreme Committee for Human Fraternity (SCHF), to pray and supplicate for humanity, coupled with optimistic souls that expect the mercy of Allah the Almighty, hoping for His grace to mankind.

He emphasized that the purpose of this noble initiative blend well with the message of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in the words of the Grand Imam when he said that prayer and patience are both a religious and worldly necessity.

"Patience is the only way to achieve hopes and goals. At this juncture, we need patience to confront this epidemic which puts peoples's lives into uncertainty, threatens all and limits public and private freedoms."

The world can only get rid of the virus through patience and persistence after prayers to Allah.

Aboul Enein affirmed that the tolerant beliefs and the heavenly religions take prayer as a rite and an offering to the Creator.

There is a need to sincere belief to implore Allah to guide the humankind to the way to combat the novel Coronavirus and develop anti-vaccines, so that people can move freely, borders between countries can be opened and the global rhythm can be established by coexistence through work and production, in accordance with the noble Quranic verse- "He is (the One Who) brought you into being from the earth and has made you settle therein."

The world peoples should eradicate the roots of hatred and bring peace in fulfillment of the verse of the Holy Scriptures: "Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another".

Aboul Enein called for a response to the Day of Humanity, saying, "Let this day be a witness to the greatest gathering for good and humanity, each in his sanctuary and the seat of its congregations in various parts of the earth".

All should unite and pray sincerely to Allah the Almighty to guide scientists to produce anti-vaccines to treat the epidemic, to give them insight, and a blessing in science, and ease in work.

He asked Allah to give doctors all over the world strength, patience and determination to stand firm to curb the epidemic, treat the sick people and alleviate the pandemic's effects.

He called upon all peoples globally to become a part of this noble event which is humane in its purpose and has unique nature.

He implores Allah the Almighty with the goodness of belief and the transcendence of the soul and the integrity of the heart, to end the crisis, deliver humanity from what they are suffering from and guide them to the sense of humanity, peace, and love.

The Day of Humanity should be an invitation to goodness, solidarity, interdependence, fraternity, spending on those who have damaged by this epidemic.
