Secretary-General of Arab Ahmed Aboul Gheit received on Sunday evening, Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister. They addressed the overall developments in the Arab region and the Arab-Russian relations.
Gamal Rushdi, spokesman for the Secretary-General, said that Aboul Gheit listened to the Russian official's view on the crises in Syria, Yemen and Libya, where he reviewed Moscow's position on each crisis, its developments, and the available opportunities for settlement.
The meeting also focused on the crisis in Lebanon, and the major economic crisis facing it.
On his part, the Secretary-General expressed his deep concern over the deterioration of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories as a result of the escalation and excessive violence practiced by the Israeli government.
