Egypt’s Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Abou El-Enein reaffirmed Egypt's firm stance against the forced displacement of Palestinians, stressing that not an inch of Sinai’s land will ever be compromised.
He praised President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s firm and historic rejection of any plans to relocate Palestinians or liquidate the Palestinian cause.
In a statement, Abou El-Enein stressed that the Palestinian people will not be uprooted from their land, stating, "The forced displacement of Palestinians will not happen, even if it costs the lives of Egypt's 100 million citizens."
He warned that such plans could ignite regional unrest and reiterated that the Palestinian issue will never be resolved at the expense of Egyptian or Arab land.
The Deputy Speaker pointed to the root cause of the conflict, emphasizing that the Israeli occupation, not the Palestinians, is the problem.
He called for international pressure on Israel to end its occupation and implement the two-state solution, as stipulated by international law.
Abou El-Enein also highlighted Egypt’s complete political and humanitarian support for the Palestinian people, reaffirming the country’s commitment to assisting their efforts to reclaim their rights and establish an independent state.
He commended Egypt's armed forces for securing the nation’s borders and praised the government’s ongoing role in facilitating Palestinian reconciliation and upholding the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
