Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein praised the success of the Egyptian efforts in the ceasefire in Gaza and imposing a truce between the two sides. He said that this reflects Egypt's strength in the region and its strong international influence.

Abou El-Enein added that this step confirms President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's keenness to immediately ceasefire and restore security and stability in the region.

The parliament deputy speaker explained that the ceasefire decision was welcomed and praised by international and regional efforts for the Egyptian role to restore calm in Gaza. He affirmed that since the outbreak of the crisis, Egypt has made great efforts to prevent the region from igniting.

Abou El-Enein pointed out that the position of Egypt and its leader comes as a reflection and completion of its historical role in defending the rights of the Palestinian people and their cause.

The Egyptian MP appreciated the continuous efforts made by Sisi from the first moment of the crisis, providing aid to the people of Gaza, opening the Rafah crossing and hospitals in Sinai to provide relief and treatment to the Palestinians, and the strong diplomatic move internationally against Israeli violations.

Abou El-Enein praised the president's initiative to support the Palestinian people and provide $500 million for Gaza reconstruction. He noted that this initiative was appreciated by the international community and encouraged countries and international institutions to participate in the reconstruction plan.

He confirmed that Sisi is a man of peace who gained the world's respect with honor and sincerity.

The parliament deputy speaker welcomed the dispatch of two Egyptian security delegations to follow up the ceasefire measures, which represent a guarantee to stop any possible escalation. The two delegations were also sent to agree on what will take place during the coming period to preserve the security of the region's stability and the safety of the Palestinian people.

Abou El-Enein stressed that the current situation represents an opportunity if there is political will in Israel on the resumption of peace negotiations.

Abou El-Enein called on international institutions to set binding rules that prevent prejudice to the future security of the Palestinian people and to reach a just and comprehensive solution within a specific period of time that would guarantee the establishment of a future Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
