6 New Technological Universities Receive Fresh Students by Next Academic Year

Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed the important role of technological universities in Egypt in providing well-trained technical cadres to join the labor market.

Abdul Ghaffar affirmed that the international partnerships that these universities hold with the world’s leading technological universities in education, as well as the provision of practical training in factories and companies in the local community surrounding these universities, make graduates of these universities able to meet the needs of the contemporary labor market locally, regionally, and internationally.

He added that technological universities offer study programs that serve the industry in every geographical region, including metallurgical, wood, engineering, electronic, electrical, spinning and weaving industries, food industries, tourism, transportation,

Abdel Ghaffar explained that the second phase of the technological universities being established by the Ministry of Higher Education includes the establishment of 6 new technological universities, namely: (Al Gharbia Technological University - Sixth of October Technological University - Borg El Arab Technological University - East Port Said Technological University - New Assiut Technological University - The new Taiba University of Technology) at a total cost of the six universities amounted to EGP 3.5 billion.
