Dr Gad El Qadi, the president of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, revealed that the Egyptian National Seismic Network recorded a 6.1 magnitude earthquake in south Crete, and it was felt by residents of separate areas in Egypt.
The earthquake occurred at 11:25 am.
