A 5.7-magnitude earthquake strikes south Sumatra, Indonesia, on Thursday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center said.
The earthquake was at a depth of 47 kilometers below the surface of the earth.
A few days ago, Indonesia witnessed a violent earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale, at a depth of 12 km and 101 km from the city of Palu on the island of Sulawesi.
