At least 50 international humanitarian organizations have ceased operations across 28 provinces in Afghanistan following the suspension of US aid, according to Abdul Latif Nazari, Afghanistan’s Deputy Minister of Economy.

Speaking to Khaama Press, Nazari urged the international community to separate humanitarian aid from political decisions, emphasizing that "the Afghan people should not suffer due to political choices."

The aid freeze follows Donald Trump's return to the White House, where he suspended all foreign aid, including financial support to Afghanistan, for three months.

The move has further destabilized Afghanistan’s fragile economy, leading to a sharp decline in the value of the Afghan currency.

Meanwhile, a tragic attack in Khost province left 10 family members dead, including a pregnant woman who was due to give birth in five days.

According to local sources, unidentified gunmen stormed a home in Bukhani village, Alisher district, late Monday night, opening fire on the entire family. Women and children were among the victims.

The Taliban authorities in Khost confirmed the attack and announced that one suspect has been arrested. Reports suggest the family had a history of personal disputes, which may have played a role in the massacre.
