At least 48 people have died following a fuel truck explosion in Nigeria on Sunday.
The incident also resulted in the deaths of numerous livestock and caused significant material damage.
According to Nigeria’s Disaster Management Agency, the explosion occurred after the fuel truck collided with another vehicle in the central northern region of the country.
The collision involved the fuel truck and another vehicle carrying passengers and livestock. Several other vehicles were also damaged in the explosion.
Husseini Ibrahim, a spokesperson for the agency, confirmed that the death toll has reached 48.
