Tuesday night saw a 4.4-magnitude earthquake strike near Kayseri, which is in central Turkey.

Without providing any additional information, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) was quoted by the Anatolia news agency as saying: "The tremor affected the Ince-So area in the state of Kayseri in the middle of the country at a depth of seven kilometres."

A double earthquake measuring 7.7 degrees and 7.6 degrees rocked southern Turkey on February 6th. Thousands of intense aftershocks followed, killing 44,218 people, the majority of whom were in southern Turkey, and severely damaging a great deal of property.
