4 Influential Arab Players Featured in 2019 AFCON Final Squad

The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced on Saturday the line-up of the 2019 African Cup of Nations. The line-up featured four Arab players who had a great impact on their teams during this showpiece tournament.

Theses four players are; Algeria's goalkeeper Raïs M'Bolhi, Algeria's midfielder Adlène Guedioura, Algeria's midfielder Ismaël Bennacer, and Manchester City Riyad Mahrez.

CAF also selected Djamel Belmadi as the best coach in the tournament.

Algeria managed to end their 29-year wait for an AFCON title by beating Senegal 1-0 to win the tournament in Egypt.

The Desert Warriors will be awarded $4.5 million by CAF, while Teranga lions will be handed $2.5 million.

The squad is as follows:

Goalkeeper: Raïs M'Bolhi, Algeria

Defenders: Lamine Gassama "Senegal," Yassine Meriah "Tunisia," Youssouf Sabaly "Senegal," Kalidou Koulibaly "Senegal."

Midfielders: Adlène Guedioura "Algeria," Idrissa Gueye "Senegal," Ismaël Bennacer "Algeria."

Forwards: Riyad Mahrez "Algeria," Sadio Mane "Senegal," Odion Ighalo " Nigeria."
