A Spanish newspaper revealed on Friday that there are three options, offered to resume the ongoing season of La Liga.

All domestic sports activities in the country was delayed until April 30 due to the spread of coronavirus.

Marca newspaper reported the three options, which LaLiga and the Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE) are working on to resume the Spanish League.

The first one is to resume on May 15 until either June 30 or July 15.

"This idea is the most optimistic and involves returning to action in mid-May and playing until either June 30 or July 15," the newspaper reported.

If this option is seconded, the clubs will play matches every three days with an option to hold the games behind closed doors.

"It would mean teams would have to play matches every three days and these games would take place whether there are fans in the stadiums or not," Marca added.

The second option is to resume the league in the summer and this means that the beginning of the next season will be delayed and this ongoing season will end in August or September.

"Seeing as there is no Euro 2020, this is a more feasible option and would mean that next season would have to be rescheduled. This calendar would mean LaLiga would go on until August or September," the newspaper said.

The third one is to resume the competition in September.

"Resume in September. This is the most radical option but, as days go by, it looks like the most realistic one. It would mean the 2020/21 season would be ripped up and rescheduled," Marca concluded.
