3 Killed, 11 Injured in Philadelphia's Shooting

At least three persons were killed and 11 were injured in a shooting done by multiple gunmen in the South Street area in Philadelphia, Al Ain reported on Sunday.

Police officers were around the scene of the fire patrolling, shortly, they heard the sounds of the shooting, according to Philadelphia Police Inspector D.F. Pace.

The officers saw "several active shooters shooting into the crowd," and one of the security forces succeeded in targeting the shooters before fleeing.

Pace added that South Street is "known for being a corridor of entertainment" due to the presence of several bars and restaurants, adding: "There were hundreds of inpiduals just enjoying South Street, as they do every single weekend, when this shooting broke out."

Regarding the victims, they were two men and a woman. No further details or information about the victims were released by the authorities.

This accident came amid the status of insecurity due to the rise of shooting incidents.

US President Joe Biden announced that he set a meeting with congress about the laws related to guns and weapons after the massive tragic shooting of the Texas elementary school that left behind 21 victims.

Biden said during his meeting with the Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern in the White House: “There’s an awful lot of suffering.”

He also told the reporters in the meeting room: “I will meet with the Congress on guns. I promise you.”

On her side, Ardern expressed her condolences to Biden over the victims of the latest two shootings in Texas and Buffalo, and reflected on her experience of dealing with the massive massacre of Christchurch.

Ardern revealed: “It’s been devastating to see the impact on those communities,” highlighting that she can share  New Zealand’s experience dealing with this issue.
